Stress

Please read this through before you take the stress test. You will have a more accurate result.

Stress is THE problem that faces each and every one of us. In my, and many others, opinion, it is the cause of almost all health problems.

There are three different types of stress that we face and deal with (and don't deal with!) everyday:

1)       CHEMICAL STESS
2)       PSYCHOLOGICAL/EMOTIONAL STRESS
3)       STRUCTURAL/PHYSICAL STRESS

Chemical Stresses come from natural and unnatural (man made) sources. Some examples of natural chemical stresses are: Pollen, Bees, Food allergies, and environmental changes (storm pressures, temperature changes). Some examples of unnatural stresses are: Drugs, Alcohol, Cigarettes and smoke, Tar, Car exhaust, Perfumes, many of the modern conveniences that we take for granted (carpet cleaners, air fresheners, processed food, fluorinated water, fertilizers, etc..).

Our bodies are amazing machines, so much so that they can usually deal with these stresses and adapt to them to handle them. Unfortunately, if our body is not working at optimum potential, then it has great difficulty in dealing with many of the chemical stresses. Worse yet, if our body is interfered with (via Subluxations), our cells will replicate abnormally, thus changing our chemical structure and cause our bodies to produce the wrong chemical it needs. For example, for our stomach to digest food, it requires a certain amount of acid at a specific pH level. If we are subluxated at the stomach level, then our stomach will produce the wrong amount and/or wrong level of pH, thus inducing undigested food or as we commonly call it: Indigestion and heartburn

Psychological/Emotional Stresses come from everywhere. The people we deal with (co-workers, bosses, store clerks, drivers on the road…), our families (parents, children, spouses…) and most importantly: from OURSELVES. There are many forms of mental abuse that we take, give and give to ourselves. All of this causes us harm and distortion within our bodies. Many studies have shown that more negative we are, the worse our bodies function. You probably have heard many times about someone who just got sicker and sicker due to how negative and upset they were all the time. Worse yet, when someone is P/E stressed, it will cause and effect how our cells replicate and cause them to replicate abnormally. Now one stress causes a second stress, compounding a problem and making it twice as bad.

PHYSICAL STRESSES come from both outside and inside. We are familiar with many outside stresses: weather, car accidents, sporting accidents, trips, falls, gardening, etc.. INSIDE STRESSES are worse. They absorb the outside stress, but we know when we get stressed from the outside. Unfortunately, we do not know when we are stressed from the inside, until it manifests itself into a symptom (if we are lucky!). When we have subluxations (nerve interference…see full explanation under Subluxation tab on main page) we are inhibiting the body from functioning normally. We are causing cells to be replaced abnormally, thus causing tissues to be abnormal and eventually organs and systems to be and function abnormal. When an organ is not functioning right, it will produce abnormal chemicals, albeit they may only be slightly off in the beginning, they will get worse and worse as time goes on. This is of course, a Physical stress causing a Chemical stress. This can and will usually lead to a Psychological/Emotional stress.

As you can see, one stress leads and induces another and we have a very vicious cycle occurring.

Ultimately, you can see that our health is determined by how we deal with our stresses. We may not be able to control or even handle all of them, but we can help ourselves to function better so that we give our bodies and ourselves the best opportunity to handle anything that comes at us. By staying subluxation free, we stand the best chance.

To borrow an old saying: We are never given more than we can handle. To be able to handle it easier is the true blessing!
